Hailing from New Jersey, Nicholas Bredimus examined hospitality, airlines, and software together and revitalized all three trades. He has done everything from the creation of time-saving software programs to improving aircraft safety and even designs for upmarket houses.

His heritage will tell you all you might want to know concerning the source of his abilities and the amount he has accomplished. Its lines can be traced back to the days of Rome, Nicholas’ provenience connects to a great part of Europe. From his mother’s side, for example, he descends from Scottish and German stock. The paternal line, in contrast, were born in Luxembourg and England, from where they ultimately came to America toward the end of the 1800s. This determined drive was in full effect after their arrival. Nicholas, together with his six siblings, was born to a father employed as a mechanical design engineer and his wife, a nurse. Bredimus would make his home in Texas for a while and also spent time in Kansas City, MO, Reston, VA and Scottsdale, AZ.

Once his education had been completed, he found himself engaged in several high powered posts with many of the most respectable and most important airlines. Hughes Airwest, Trans World Airlines (TWA), Republic Airlines - these airlines would all at different times respectively name him their VP. A dedicated software programmer, his creative work with airline computer programs is probably his trailblazing legacy.

His trailblazing innovations in the field of aircraft maintenance management software, now employed throughout the airline business while originally created for one specific business, ultimately resulted in what is surely his most popular piece. He created numerous other computerized solutions for the airline and hospitality sector both before and after, including automatic software to take and record airline bookings, used by fifty or more businesses, and the original room reservation program using Windows in use in the hotel industry, which was initially installed at more than 700 hotels. Still innovating, he produced a networked system to help with ticket ordering - an innovation that hadn’t been done before.

Nicholas Bredimus parlayed these achievements into posts which weren’t obviously connected to software design, and went on to build reputation in these fields as well. He worked as manager for American Express’ renowned IT department, established Bredimus Systems seventeen years ago, and had the honor of being appointed the founding president of a major American Airlines division. So is he still active? Absolutely - his prowess is still very much in demand and at the ready no matter his retirement. His focus has shifted to the architectural questions bound up in the emergence of environmentally friendly, hi tech upmarket homes. The desire we noted here just won’t be stopped anytime soon.
