Are you aware of how a computing revolution has fundamentally changed hospitality and air travel as you have known them recently? Behind all of this is New Jersey’s own Mr Nicholas Bredimus. His CV covers time-saving software, aircraft safety enhancements, and even the design of high value homes.
Examining Nicholas Bredimus‘ pedigree anyone could discern he was destined to rise to greatness. Coming together from many nationalities, his clan can be traced to the time of ancient Rome, with his mother’s branch predominantly Scottish and German. The paternal line, however, hailed from England and Luxembourg, from where they eventually came to America toward the end of the 19th century. Once in the US, the family continued to persevere and climb in the world. Part of a family of seven siblings — three boys and four girls — Nicholas would be born to a father working as a mechanical design engineer and a mother who earned her living as a practicing nurse. His residences over the course of several years were spread across several states — Arizona, Missouri, Texas and Virginia. Nicholas has stepped up to the challenge of respected jobs within firms throughout the airline sector — most of them big names. He became a VP with airlines like Republic Airlines, Hughes Airwest, and Trans World Airlines (TWA) respectively. All these achievements nothwithstanding, above all the airline industry has had reason to thank him for his innovation in software and system architecture.
Nicholas is certainly most recognized for a US Airways project, creating airplane upkeep programs, destined to become the “old reliable” for the purpose. He went on to create numerous other systems for the hotel and airline sectors both before and after, including unmanned programs to deal with airline bookings, now in use at fifty or more firms, to say nothing of his innovative PC based room reservation program used by the hotel industry, the launch for which was a major event at more than seven hundred locations. Applying what he had learned to a connected subject, he developed a networked system to assist in ticketing — another first for his resume. He has even been appointed to several posts unconnected to software design, let’s remember. With his own company — Bredimus Systems — overseeing IT for American Express, and as the inaugural president of an American Airlines division his performance speaks for itself. At the time of writing Mr Nicholas Bredimus has withdrawn from his airline connections and from coding, although he’s still making the most of his talent. He’s at work now at the forefront of architecture — blending the demands of aesthetics with new technology and true concern for the environment.
